Hello and welcome! After living in the snow, I am excited to be back in my hometown soaking up the sun and heat. I enjoy outdoor activities such as boating, four-wheeling, and scalloping as well as spending time with my husband, daughter, and yellow lab named Cash. I have lived in Valrico most of my life and enjoy giving back to the community.

Academically, I received my BA in psychology at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. I went on to receive my Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from National Louis University, specializing in Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychology.

I completed my pre-doctoral internship training at Ohio Guidestone in Cleveland, Ohio. My training experiences have been in a multitude of settings such as the Hillsborough County Public School System, the Polk County Juvenile Justice System, private practices and community mental health agencies. I have worked with a variety of preschoolers, children and adolescents within diverse cultural backgrounds and clinical presentations related to:

Abuse (Emotional, Physical, Sexual)
Anger
Anxiety and Fears
Attachment Problems
Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity
Behavioral Management
Bullying
Coping Skills

If you are scrolling through Tik Tok and self-diagnosing, I can help process your thoughts and feelings and explore the specific symptoms and behaviors. I enjoy working with adolescents to young adults who struggle with things such as anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflict, and coping skills. Parenting needs shift within this age range and I work with parents to better understand developmental milestones and their child’s particular needs. Specifically, I enjoy working with young adults as many struggle with identity development, fears of the future, interpersonal relationships, and new “adulting” responsibilities. I hope to provide a non-judgmental space that you can feel comfortable expressing and exploring emotions regarding your achievements and challenges.

My treatment approach focuses on working with adolescents and young adults collaboratively to help evaluate what treatment strategies work best for them. My training includes a variety of treatment modalities such as person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and interpersonal therapy. I also offer gifted/IQ assessments.

I am currently an in-network provider with Blue Cross, Cigna, and TRICARE. If you wish to see me via self-pay or through other insurance companies, I can provide documentation for reimbursement with your insurance provider.  Please contact me if you would like additional information or to schedule an initial consultation. I look forward to meeting you!
