Doctoral Psychology Associate Contact Me
Doctoral Psychology Associates are individuals who hold a Master’s degree and are currently pursuing their Doctorate in Psychology. They work under the direct supervision of a Licensed Psychologist as part of their advanced clinical training. As part of a doctoral program in clinical psychology, students are required to complete supervised practicum hours, gaining hands-on experience in clinical settings. This supervised training is a critical component of their education and is necessary for graduation and eventual licensure. Every Licensed Psychologist has undergone this rigorous process on the path to becoming a doctoral-level clinician.

Personal Experience:
Originally from New Orleans, LA, I relocated to Tampa in 2019, bringing with me a wealth of multicultural experiences. Having spent a significant portion of my formative years living abroad, I possess a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and backgrounds. As a devoted mother to an elementary school-aged daughter, I intimately understand the delicate balance between personal and professional responsibilities. In my leisure time, my daughter and I actively engage in our community, embracing outdoor activities together.
Therapy Approach:
Grounded in the bio-psycho-social model, my therapeutic approach encompasses all facets of clients' lives, including chronic and acute illness. Specializing in supporting couples, individuals, and families, I provide guidance in navigating a spectrum of challenges such as depression, trauma, divorce/separation, grief, and intimacy issues. My sub-specialization in Medical Family Therapy equips me to assist clients in confronting chronic and terminal diseases, acute medical conditions, and the intricate nuances of grief and loss from a systemic perspective.
Collaborative Approach:
I believe in fostering a collaborative therapeutic alliance, where I join clients on their journey without judgment. Together, we explore novel perspectives and co-create narratives that promote positive transformations in behaviors, emotions, and relational dynamics. My objective is to empower clients to confront life's adversities with resilience and self-assurance.
Therapeutic Modalities:
Drawing from a diverse array of therapeutic modalities, I tailor my approach to suit the individual needs of each client. Modalities may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Solutions-Focused Therapy, Collaborative Therapy, and Mindfulness techniques.
